Motor Coach Fleet Diesel Mechanic
- Must be 21
- Possess a valid CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement, or obtain after 90 days
- 1-3 years’ experience in fleet maintenance & repair
- Experience working with MCI, Van Hool buses and working on Cummings, Detroit, and International engines
- Perform routine, scheduled, and preventative maintenance inspections and required repairs to company standards
- Diagnose malfunctions and perform vehicle repairs including steering, electrical, cooling, brake systems, drive trains, suspension, transmissions, etc.
- Repair and maintain buses and bus equipment
- Test drive repaired equipment
- Notifies supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment
- Repair/maintain wheelchair lifts to ADA standards
- Maintain a safe, clean, and productive work area
- Ensure work orders are accurate and properly completed
- Motor Coach driving is occasionally required
- Ability to use good judgment and decision-making skills to ensure safety and quality at all times
- Ability to work well with others on the team in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to receive and carry out instructions to perform work
- Any other duties as assigned
- Prior mechanical experience required (minimum 2 years)
- Ability to work independently
- A/C and Brake Certifications are highly preferred; must be able to obtain after 90 days
- Must own and supply appropriate mechanic tools for necessary duties
- Must possess a valid driver’s License
- Willing to obtain CDL, Class B with Passenger Endorsement after 90 days
- Must have dependable transportation
- Must work early mornings and evening shifts including weekends
- Solid understanding and adherence to safety and environmental standards
- Must be able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and DOT physical

Health and Insurance Benefits include Medical, Vision, and Dental Coverage. Insurance benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days with the company.
Full-time employees who have been with the company for 90 days are eligible for 40 hours of sick time. After one year employees are eligible to start earning vacation time. We also offer six paid holidays per year.
